Hi everyone! It’s Tamer Tuesday again.

Cymre Brightblade was a tamer that I dreaded every day until I got this wonderful team strat from our own Wakamaru, who had cobbled it together from several other strategies. This strategy is super nice because it’s not too hard, and you can level a carry pet pretty easily.

Note:
If you’re not sure what a “carry pet” is, it is a pet that you’re working on leveling via Tamer and Master Tamer battles. These pets get awesome XP and can level up really quickly. When I’m working on leveling pets, I always make sure to have my Safari Hat equipped, and to give my pets the XP treats: Lesser Pet Treat and Pet Treat. You can see me do just that at the beginning of the video below.

The biggest obstacle on Cymre’s team is the Wishbright Lantern’s Wish move. Once the wish is cast, you have to kill the lantern on the next turn before the wish is complete otherwise the lantern goes to full health (more than it started with because of Sunlight). If the lantern is able to heal it’s pretty much game over. Restart the match.

Another tough ability is the Idol of Decay’s Dark Rebirth, which brings the idol back to life at full health if it’s killed while this spell is active. The only good thing about this is even if it is able to go off, the idol will lose 20% health each turn afterwards. However, I try to avoid this as it prolongs the fight, and just makes the rest of the fight a little rougher. The Teroclaw is wonderful for countering the Idol of Decay because it has the Dodge ability, and a Heal ability that allows it to heal even while it’s in the backline for a few turns.

The last ability you want to keep an eye on is Gryaxle’s repair ability. He’ll frequently get one repair off before you’re in a position to hit him hard and finish him off. However, if you can, go for it (unless you’re trying to level a carry pet)! Otherwise, wait for his next repair mode and don’t worry about any defensive moves and just kill him when he’s in that second repair session.
