Whispering Pandaren Spirit – Master Tamer

The final Pandaren Spirit tamer is the Whispering Pandaren Spirit. He’s also pretty tough, but if you know what you’re up against, it’s not too terrible.

Questclamation markThe team I’ve put together is a one- or two-pet team. However, I’ve not tested it as a ‘carry team’. It just so happens that my Celestial Dragon and Rapana Whelk were quite capable of taking on this Spirit’s team. The Celestial Dragon can almost do it by himself, but if he gets put to sleep, rather than pass a turn, just bring in the Rapana Whelk to handle things for a bit. Just don’t let him die on Dusty; try and save him for the Pandaren Air Spirit. Let him hit a few turns, then swap back to your Celestial Dragon. My third pet is the always useful Anubisath Idol. Should both the dragon and whelk die, he can come in and clean up whatever is left.

Since the Whispering Pandaren Spirit’s team is Flying-ability-heavy, the Celestial Dragon is an excellent choice to start with. The Rapana Whelk has an ability that is good vs Flying, and also one that is good vs. Elemental, and that is why I chose him as my second pet. He’s also a good choice because he is aCritter, and can thus avoid the potential to be put to sleep by Dusty’s Moth Dust ability. The Anubisath Idol is a great Humanoid pet, and that is why I picked him for my third pet; the Spirit’s third pet is a dragon, and humanoid abilities are strong vs. Dragonkin.

So there you have it! As you can see, the two pets were quite capable of taking on the Whispering Spirit’s team, but should they both have died, the Anubisath Idol could have swept in to finish things up.

Did this strategy help you out? Is there a tamer you just can’t seem to beat? Do you have feedback on any of our past Tamer Tuesdays? Let us know on our forums! We love hearing from you!
