BlizzCon 2018: Overwatch Summary
BlizzCon 2018 Opening Ceremonies saw the premiere of a new short, Reunion, featuring Jesse McCree and a host of other new interesting characters, including Ashe, B.O.B., and Echo, an interesting omnic/AI appearing character.
Following the short, hero 29 was announced: Ashe. Ashe will be a medium to long range DPS hero, and her ultimate is one unlike any other; B.O.B. is her ultimate. He functions pretty much as a 7th hero on the field for your team for the 10-15 seconds he’s active. He can be healed, nano boosted, cc’d, and killed, and he can even contest capture points.
Later in the day during the Lorecraft panel, a very short “post-credits” scene to Reunion was shown. You can watch this clip here.
Another interesting piece of news from the weekend is that they are currently working on 6 different heroes and that the hero coming after Ashe, hero number 30, is already playable on their in-house testing. However, Echo will not be hero 30, but she will most likely be a hero at some point in the future.
Also, Overwatch and Kellogg’s have partnered to bring us a fun new cereal coming in December: Lucio-Oh’s.
Alongside this is the announcement of Lucio’s album: Synaesthesia Auditiva, available to download for free here.
