Filthling & Sunreaver Micro Sentry

People have asked how and where Filthling comes from so here’s how to farm them.

This is very fast and easy for any level 95-100.
There are only enough mobs to support one person at 100, or a couple if you are 90-95.

Sunreaver Micro-Sentry is also very close to this and should be checked often.

If you know how to get to Isle of Thunder, skip the next paragraph.

First, you will have to complete the intro quests for Isle of Thunder, gaining access to the island. This doesn’t take long. Head over to Shado-Pan Garrison, Townlong Steppes, Pandaria. If you’ve done the quests, just step into the portal (50.73, 73.36) south east from the flight path. If you’ve not completed them, grab the quest in camp, which will lead you through a few guided scenarios, ending with you on the Isle of Thunder. Same applies for Alliance, whose portal is directly north of the garrison, at 49.73, 68.86.

Filthling farming:

Once there (the Isle of Thunder), you will head to the inland pool of water on your map in the south east corner (50, 80).
You will be clearing the entire pool, killing slimes, elite slimes and humanoids.

Only the elite Quivering Filth drops the pet. It is a rare item called Half-Empty Food Container. This item binds to you, but once you learn it, the Filthling is cageable.

Quivering Filth

You must kill the non-elite Quivering Filths in order to get the elites to spawn. This is completely RNG-dependent, and could be anywhere between 10 and 50 kills to get elites to spawn. In an hour, I’ve gotten anywhere from 1-4 pets, and on a great night I’ve gotten 10 pets in 2 hours.

While standing in the larger round part, you will see a ramp to the west, which leads up to two more oozes to kill. These are verified as spawn points for elites, so it is good to kill them.

The south ramp leads out of the pool and down to the Sunreaver.

Sunreaver Micro Sentry farming:

Dropped Item: Sunreaver Micro-Sentry

South of the pool, you only have to walk a few yards to the beach. You are looking for a very large rare mob named Haywire Sunreaver Construct.

Haywire Sunreaver Construct

He is big, red, and fast. His route is very short. If you don’t see him on the beach right there (48.88), then he’s not up, and you can do a couple more rounds of Filthling and check back.

Good Luck!
