Overwatch

Post by Wakamaru » April 15th, 2016, 10:04 pm

Hey A3ers!

Just curious if anyone else is participating in the Overwatch stress testing this weekend? If you are - how are you liking it so far? Which hero/es are you liking?

Waka

I couldn't stop playing the whole weekend, up until I was kicked off. Ahhh I wish I was in the closed beta.

I couldn't stop either! Majorly addicted and excited. Which hero did you play?

Well, now that Overwatch is out, how is everybody liking it?

I finally got a better video card for my wife's computer (I have a Mac, she has a PC) so we trade computers if I'm wanting to Overwatch.

Just figured out how to set up OBS for recording plays of the game and whatnot.

If anybody ever sees me in Overwatch though, you're more than welcome to message me. I'll respond between games or while I'm dead. :p You're also welcome to join me or ask to join. Often I'm playing with coworkers but that doesn't mean you still couldn't team up. :)

I'm having a blast with it! Loving Pharah, Junkrat, Soldier 76, and Mercy.

I like it far more than I thought I would... to the point WoW has been left at the wayside. I best like Soldier: 76, Bastion, Torbjorn, and Lucio.

The fact that you can level just fine vs AI is probably the only reason, though. That's been most of my gameplay up to recently. Now that I have a better idea of each hero and what they can do, I'm sticking my toes back into Quick Play and Brawls.

Our gaming group, when we felt a bit adventurous and had a full or nearly full team vs AI, would do what we call Randomonium. The group leader rolls up a list of random heroes, then assigns the list to the team in order. Each person has to play that hero to the end of the match. Another "honor-system" way to do it is that you just accept whatever hero the game gives you. I've actually gotten a lot better at several heroes by playing this way.

I admit that I usually play vs. the AI as well. I don't mind the pvp matches, but I'm usually just looking to relax and chill. I love the random hero idea! That sounds like it would be a ton of fun!
