Newsletter June 27: Get Your Qiraji Guardling Now!

Post by piwakawaka » June 27th, 2016, 8:51 pm

June 2016
Year 2, Issue 26

Hello, Readers.

Midsummer is in full swing, and if you haven't got your http://www.wowhead.com/npc=62526/qiraji-guardling yet, make sure you go and get it while it's around for the summer months. For our newer collectors, this pet is part of the http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=6585/kalimdor-safari achievement, part of the http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=6590/world-safari meta that awards the Zookeeper title.

If you're sending out any characters to gather the bonfires this year, whether to get your achievements, pets or to help A3, make sure you send characters that need the experience if you can. The free experience can help you get past a particularly tedious point *cough* Hellfire Peninsula *cough* or otherwise help you with getting exploration achievements, and even wild pets you might have missed. A friend of mine found two blue upgrades and got the last two pets she needed for a zone whilst we were about gathering bonfires.

Hope you all have a good week!

Battle Pet Call to Arms
By popular request, A3 has implemented a new feature: the Battle Pet Call to Arms. What is the Battle Pet C2A? Members will often tell us they would like to do some farming specifically for A3 needs and so they ask us which pets we need the most. This can be a tough on-the-spot question to answer from some A3ers as not everyone is directly connected to our inventory. As such - this new feature will announce to the community exactly which pets we need the most.

C2A pets will be received and handled in the same way as normal donations. You can mail them to Wakamaru or deposit them into the 7th tab of the bank. You are not required to farm or contribute these pets. All contributed pets will be adopted out to A3 members who need them.

We would like to remind members of one very important thing... The C2A listing does not mean that we aren't still in need of other pets. It only means that we are most lacking in these pets and we're posting a notice to help our farmers with their efforts. This is very important to remember! This distinction is one reason that we had stopped posting a needs list in the past.

If you would like to learn more about the Battle Pet Call to Arms or if you have any questions head over to the Donation Center > Pet Call to Arms & Supply Requests forum and Battle Pet Call to Arms Information Post.

Wild Pet Capture Service
Above all else... A3 loves collecting pets! Collection doesn't just stop at pets that can be traded and adopted though - there are a few worlds' worth of wild pets out there waiting for collectors, too! A few of us would like to offer our love of hunting wild pets to A3 members to help them also round out their wild pet needs.

Each week (sometimes a few times each week!) we will comb zones to help members find the wild pets they are still after. We will turn a zone upside-down and inside-out looking for your pet(s) and message you once we've found them. You will then come and capture it!

There are both Horde and Alliance hunters on standby to help with the pet search, so both factions are welcome.

Entries will be open from:

for: http://www.wowhead.com/npc=88575/glowing-sporebat
Do you want to help supply pets for adoption that A3 needs? We have a Pet Suppliers thread where members can sign up to sponsor certain pets they are willing to supply. When the supply of certain pets starts to run low or we have an upcoming project where we’ll need more of a certain pet – we’ll send out a notification about that pet to our suppliers! There is no guess work and no 24/7 farming because we’ll let you know when we’re in need of the pets.

There are no quotas to meet when supplying the pets that you signed up for. You can provide whatever amount you are comfortable with.

New supply options were added on March 6th.

  • Don't forget to keep your WarcraftPets account up to date. You can find a guide on how to do this here.
  • Please remember to check what pets you have before submitting requests! Add-ons don't always display things accurately.
  • Please remember to report your request list if you acquire a pet you have requested. We've modified our system so that even if your post has already been flagged you can still report and make changes.

[col3]Did you know that A3 has bills? It’s true! A3 has monthly and yearly bills related to the cost of operating the Agency. We earn some funds from ads on the site but most of A3’s operating costs are paid out of pocket.

Operating costs are the costs required to run the community – these do not include the costs of sponsoring giveaways.|A3 is a volunteer operated project and we need the help of our members to keep the site online.

Currently only 3% of our members have contributed to assist with operating costs. 1% of our members have contributed more than once.

A few spare dollars here and there can go a long way!|Donations are accepted through PayPal. A PayPal account is not required to donate.

For more information about donating you can read the Can I help the Agency financially? F.A.Q.[/col3]
