This week was fairly exciting. We were lucky enough to be able to get together a contingent of people -- mostly from the guild -- to run through Black Temple Timewalking. It was a lengthy affair -- six hours in total -- but everyone had fun. There was 'singing' (and nobody kicked my husband for it either), Princess Bride quotes, a lot of larking around and overall a very positive atmosphere.
Of course, it wouldn't have been a proper run without an Illidari Pepe somewhere (available if you have a Demon Hunter with Concordance).
As far as the raid went we did very well, the few times we wiped everyone was positive about being able to do better the next time. One of our biggest hurdles was going into the Reliquary of Souls. Having not given thought to how its particular mechanics work, we had brought both a death knight and a monk as tanks. Given both of them rely on self healing, they weren't really the best suited to dealing with the fact you can't heal during the first phase. Fortunately, we had a paladin swing tanking so, after a few false starts, a spec change and a brief moment of despair, we managed to push on through.
Unfortunately we did end up being down a person come Illidan, as real life called our heroic paladin Cubes away, but in the end we were victorious! We defeated him in the end with persistence and cunning.
Congratulations to everyone who participated; it was wonderful to be able to raid with you all.
Hope you all have a good week.
