Year 3, Issue 44
There's great excitement in the air. Blizzcon has been and gone and with it the reveal of the next expansion. You can find links to Blizzard's own overviews in our Warcraft segment, and our blog will be covering the major announcements, although some patience will be required for us to get the panels appropriately written up, edited and posted.
There have been a few interesting tidbits creeping out of the panels, however. For example, there are going to be some major improvements to how we interact socially within World of Warcraft. As you can see in our A3 News and Info, you can have Battle.net social groups, but they're going to be expanding on this in World of Warcraft. They have announced that we will be able to make social groups. Each group is specific to whichever character you will be on, however all characters will have access to any Blizzard Battle.net groups you have as well.
Another major announcement was that level scaling is going to be applied across the entire world. It will work a little differently to Legion scaling -- Vanilla content will be capped at 60, for example, and, depending on what zone you're going to, the starting level of the creatures can be higher or lower. The welcome bear in Western Plaguelands, for example, will always be a thing if you're a level 10 newbie.
Personally, I'm just glad I need never quest in Hellfire Peninsula again.
Oh, and they announced the scaling tech will be rolling out with 7.3.5.
Hope you all have a good week,
