Spring Event: Cryptic Crossword
Image
It's time for A3's Spring Event! This season we're bringing you a challenging Cryptic Crossword prepared by Sandwalker.

What's a Cryptic Crossword? In essence, a cryptic clue leads to its answer as long as it is read in the right way. What the clue appears to say when read normally (the surface reading) is a distraction and usually has nothing to do with the clue answer. The challenge is to find the way of reading the clue that leads to the solution.

We have amazing prizes up for grabs! The winner will be able to choose one of the following:

Come join in on the fun for this seasons A3 event!

LEGION DONATION DRIVE

The Legion expansion is quickly coming to an end and A3 would like your help in stocking up on Legion pets for future A3ers to adopt! This event will include any cageable pets that were introduced during the Legion expansion (97 pets total!). Check out the information post for a full list. Tiers for this donation drive are 0, 50, and 100.

Members who earn at least 10 entries total during the Donation Drive will also have the option of choosing a:

World of Warcraft Coloring Book
(or)
Overwatch Coloring Book

from the Blizzard Gear Store as their Tier 3 prize! International shipping OK!
Wild Pet Capture Service
Above all else... A3 loves collecting pets! Collection doesn't just stop at pets that can be traded and adopted though - there are a few worlds' worth of wild pets out there waiting for collectors, too! A few of us would like to offer our love of hunting wild pets to A3 members to help them also round out their wild pet needs.

Each week (sometimes a few times each week!) we will comb zones to help members find the wild pets they are still after. We will turn a zone upside-down and inside-out looking for your pet(s) and message you once we've found them. You will then come and capture it! If you would like to take advantage of this service, but aren't available during our typical times, please don't hesitate to contact us and ask about alternative days and times.

Specifications Allowed

✔ Both Factions
✔ All Zones
✔ All Pets
✔ Any Quality
✔ Any Breed
✔ Any Specifics (color, size, etc.)

Pet Suppliers
Do you want to help supply pets for adoption that A3 needs? We have a Pet Suppliers thread where members can sign up to sponsor certain pets they are willing to supply. When the supply of certain pets starts to run low or we have an upcoming project where we’ll need more of a certain pet – we’ll send out a notification about that pet to our suppliers! There is no guess work and no 24/7 farming because we’ll let you know when we’re in need of the pets.

There are no quotas to meet when supplying the pets that you signed up for. You can provide whatever amount you are comfortable with.

New supply options were recently added! New options include common vendor and non-Legion pets.
There are 100's of supply options available, but below you will find the newest options added to the supply request sign-up sheet. These options are especially in need of suppliers right now.

Please note that the sign-up sheet is organized according to which expansion each pet was introduced in, not the expansion "zone" that they are found in.

Whether entering a one-time competition or requesting your weekly pets, please remember these essential tips so your requests and entries aren't disqualified.

  •   Remember to keep an active level 20+ character attached to your site profile. It is a good idea to log in to this character before posting adoption requests to refresh your armory information.

Please remember to check what pets you have before submitting requests! Add-ons don't always display things accurately.

Please remember to report your request list if you acquire a pet you have requested. We've modified our system so that even if your post has already been flagged you can still report and make changes.

New Comic: World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth #3 — “Three Sisters”
After returning home to Azeroth, Alleria Windrunner calls upon her estranged siblings—Sylvanas, the warchief of the Horde, and Vereesa, ranger-general of the Silver Covenant—to join her in a quest to retake their ancestral home, Windrunner Spire, from the undead who have overrun it. On their journey, the three sisters will navigate the dangers of the present and the ghosts of the past to discover if time and tragedy have divided them irrevocably—or if, despite everything, they are still a family.

You can find the full article with the link to the comic here.
Battle for Azeroth Preview: Nazmir Visitor’s Guide
Once the shining heart of troll civilization, Nazmir is now a bleak swamp riddled with ruined reminders of its former greatness. In the current troll capital of Zuldazar, stories are passed down from generation to generation cautioning children to behave, lest Nazmir’s twisted practioners of blood magic come to snatch them from their beds. And those who dare brave the swamp have a terrible habit of disappearing, never to return. The blood trolls of Nazmir are the monsters that haunt every Zandalari child’s nightmares—and for good reason.

Welcome to Nazmir.

Have a look around in the blog post here.
Support Ending for World of Warcraft 32-Bit Client This Summer
When World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth™ is live, we will no longer support the World of Warcraft game client for 32-bit operating systems. The vast majority of World of Warcraft players are already running the 64-bit version of the game, and this change will allow us to focus on making the 64-bit version as stable and efficient as possible.

If you are using a 32-bit operating system, you will need to upgrade to 64-bit. In most cases (as with Windows 7 through 10), you have the option to upgrade for free, but you may need to reinstall some applications. Check with your OS maker to find out how to upgrade to a 64-bit operating system and what applications will be affected.
Why We’re Retiring 32-Bit Support

The memory limitations of 32-bit operating systems can impact the playability and stability of many modern games, and 64-bit operating systems have been industry standard for several years. As with past expansions, we’re making a great many technological updates to WoW with Battle for Azeroth to further enhance the game experience, and the time is right to make this change.

We recommend updating to the 64-bit version of the game before July 1, 2018, to ensure your World of Warcraft gaming experience is unaffected.

You can read the original article here.
Battle for Azeroth™: One Launch to Rule Them All
For the first time in World of Warcraft® history, the next expansion—Battle for Azeroth™—will launch in the Americas, Europe, Taiwan, Korea, and Australia/New Zealand at the same time. Wherever you live and whatever faction you fight for, you can be part of one globally unified front as the battle for Azeroth begins.

Check the details below for the exact time you can begin logging in to explore Kul Tiras—for the Alliance!— or Zandalar—for the Horde!—in World of Warcraft’s upcoming expansion. You can pre-purchase Battle for Azeroth now.

Check out the release schedule in their blog post here.

Connecting A3ers through Discord
Image
A3 is always looking for new and interesting ways to connect with its members. One of our greatest hurdles, though, is connecting members to each other. With everyone playing on different servers, different factions, and the limitations of the friends list – many of you have probably never had a chance to connect. We hope to use the Discord App to help solve that!

The major perk of an app like Discord is that communication is live. Meaning – you can see it on the fly (assuming you are logged in). This will be an advantage over the forum or twitter where you need to check in throughout the day. It will be especially helpful with organizing groups, sharing rare spawn information with others, or just getting to know your fellow A3ers!

Help Support A3
Did you know that A3 has bills? It’s true! A3 has monthly and yearly bills related to the cost of operating the Agency. Operating costs are the costs required to run the community – these do not include the costs of sponsoring giveaways.

A3 is a volunteer operated project and we need the help of our members to keep the site online. Currently, about 4% of our members contribute to the to these operating costs and around 1% have contributed more than once.

A few spare dollars here and there can go a long way! Donations are accepted through PayPal and Patreon.
For more information about donating financially please visit our Supporter's Page.
