Hello, Readers.

Congratulations! The donation drive has achieved its goal thanks to so many incredibly generous individuals, including those of you who chose to donate under our group page. It has certainly been a different sort of fundraiser, but it's good to see exactly where the funds are going and what they will be used for. Equally awesome is seeing the generosity of our guild members. It has been a trying year in 2020 and the challenges continue in 2021. Seeing so many folks give what they can to help people through an organisation like MSF is incredibly heart-warming.

Keep on being awesome A3.

Azeroth Adoption Agency; Doctors Without Borders Effort
Hello Everyone!

I just wanted to give a big shout out to everyone to donated toward the Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières WoW Charity Pet Program. Cute pets aside, this is a truly wonderful foundation and I'm so happy to see it supported so well throughout the entire WoW community.

As you should all know by now, Azeroth Adoption Agency signed up as a team for this charity event. We had a team goal of $1000 and were offering offering to match any community contributions up to $500 total (more info), courtesy of OG Team Member @OzinLA.

From OzinLA: I would like to add my personal thanks for our team effort, and the support of Piwakawaka in making sure the link made it into the Newsletter each week.

You can check out all of the contributing teams, and the leaderboard, here. A3 has finished in 8th place on the leaderboard - how cool!

Warcraft®: Sylvanas Now Available for Pre-Purchase
The new World of Warcraft novel, Warcraft®: Sylvanas is now available for pre-purchase and will release on November 9, 2021, wherever books are sold. Authored by New York Times best-selling and award-winning writer, Christie Golden, this new novel chronicles the epic, definitive story of the legendary Sylvanas Windrunner.

Go on an auditory journey with voice actress Patty Mattson, the voice of Sylvanas Windrunner in World of Warcraft®, who will narrate the audiobook, which will be published by Penguin Random House Audio.

Pre-Purchase Now

About the Book

Ranger-General. Banshee Queen. Warchief. Sylvanas Windrunner has borne many titles. To some, she is a hero . . . to others, a villain. But whether in pursuit of justice, vengeance, or something more, Sylvanas has always sought to control her own destiny.

The power to achieve her goals has never been closer, as Sylvanas works alongside the Jailer to liberate all Azeroth from the prison of fate. Her final task? Secure the fealty of their prisoner—King Anduin Wrynn.

To succeed, Sylvanas will be forced to reflect on the harrowing path that brought her to the Jailer’s side, and reveal her truest self to her greatest rival. Here, Sylvanas’ complete story is laid bare: from the breaking of the Windrunner family and her rise to Ranger-General; to her own death at the hands of Arthas and her renewed purpose in founding the Forsaken; to the moment she first beheld the Maw, and understood the true consequences of what lay beyond the veil of death. But as her moment of victory draws near, Sylvanas Windrunner will make a choice that may ultimately come to define her. A choice that’s hers alone to make.

The Sharkening
Over the past week or so Discord has been full of jokes about Left Sharks and, specifically, sending them to Wakamaru. As much as the Adoption Agency wants to help everyone rehome the pets they don't need, Left Sharks are a pet that we cannot reasonably rehome, never mind store, in the numbers we receive. Despite being on the Do not Donate List, we still receive enough sharks to become an issue.

Image

This sort of an issue.

This is a storage guild owned by the prime perpetrator of Left Shark jokes, Nekuder. Normally this guild bank is filled with pets for A3 for Wakamaru to retrieve and file at her leisure, so when Nekuder pushed the joke of Waka being delighted to receive yet more sharks, it seemed only fitting that some level of retaliation was in order.

When we say we don't need more sharks, we really mean it.
